Description:
This add-in turns point features that are offset from, but associated to, route-measured centerlines into polyline features that have the first vertex as the point feature location, and the second vertex as the projection of that point onto the assigned route measured polyline. This tool benefits: • the cartographer who wants the milepost or kilometer-post labels to appear perpendicular to the route • The LRS intersection table, which therefore no longer requires reference posts to be coincident with route centerlines The tool converts the points to hatches – but also allows the hatches to be improved when the positions of the raw points have been determined to be in need of improvement.
