Using man-portable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), hull-mounted sonar systems and GIS software, highly accurate, multi-layered underwater maps are generated to support security and maintenance interests for the Unified Port of San Diego. Maps of berths and vertical infrastructure (bridge stanchions, wharfs and sea) are integrated into the port's existing GIS program.
