Overview

Our growing company is in need of a responsible individual to inspect, maintain, and have a general understanding of repairing building infrastructure, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. The successful candidate will help support Esri’s facilities operations and collaborate with contractors while remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate parking lot repairs for all hardscape features and fencing
  • Maintain life safety equipment including fire alarms, fire sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, exit signs, and emergency lighting
  • Maintain large scale emergency power backup systems for Redlands data centers including UPSs, ATSs, and generators
  • Oversee all power installations, usage, and demolition within Redlands data centers
  • Oversee roof maintenance including repairs, cleaning, and all solar panels
  • Contract out exterior building maintenance including decks, wall siding, and pathways
  • Oversee all interior electrical problems with the exclusion of replacing most light bulbs
  • Maintain storm drain runoff including hardscape, drains, and sump pumps
  • Contract out all exterior lighting maintenance including pole mounted or building mounted fixtures
  • Assist with landscaping issues and reporting
  • Assist with major social events that require extra power needs
  • Assist with trash pickup and overall cleanliness of the campus
  • Oversee government reporting agencies including San Bernardino Hazmat and Air Quality Management District
  • Maintain Café equipment and coordinate back room maintenance
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of basements
  • Constantly be on the lookout for any hazards, problems, or anything out of the ordinary
  • Assist with emergency response for weather related issues and vandalism
  • Support all miscellaneous repairs in and around all buildings that are not covered by the above duties

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting facilities operations
  • Basic construction and remodeling experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, and civil plans
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Demonstrate above average leadership skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience overseeing and directing vendors and contractors
  • Understanding of safety and best practices for standard job sites
  • Basic office environment computer skills
  • Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering, business or related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience processing governmental agency permits and related documents
  • Extended knowledge of construction and landscaping practices
  • Knowledge of low volt electrical systems
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements in a corporate environment
  • Computer skills that include the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$68,640-$119,600 USD
