This year Esri changed its business data source in the U.S. from D&B to Infogroup. Both companies excel in providing a comprehensive set of business listings, and each has their unique strengths. D&B’s strength is in its financial data and coverage of larger companies. Infogroup’s strength is in its small and local business listings. Infogroup’s strength in small and local businesses is what best meets the profile of Esri’s users and what caused Esri to change this data source.
How will this impact users?
First, what’s coming…
Business data is widely available in Esri’s content and demographic maps. For this reason, the rollout of the Infogroup data has occurred over several releases. In November, the last set of maps will be updated with Infogroup data. This includes the 2015 Retail MarketPlace service, layers, and web maps. As long as you are accessing the following, you will automatically see the update with Infogroup data in November:

Second, what’s retiring…
2013 and 2014 Retail MarketPlace and Business Summary datasets are now in Mature Support status. Mature Support status means that services, layers, and web maps will be available until the planned retirement date on December 31st, 2015.
Any web maps, applications, or story maps currently using these items will be impacted. See below for a complete list of services and ArcGIS Online items that will not be available after December 31st, 2015.
Esri recommends updating to the 2015 services, layers, and web maps listed below, during the Mature Support period.
