As with previous prereleases, below are important notes/restrictions about 10.7 prerelease:
- The prerelease includes ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 and ArcGIS Desktop 10.7 – it does not include ArcGIS Pro 2.3, which was released (generally available) today. For more information on what’s new in ArcGIS Pro 2.3, check out this blog from the Pro team: ArcGIS Pro 2.3 is here!
- The 10.7 prerelease an early preview of the upcoming release. It is not intended as a release candidate. Note that prerelease is not feature complete; several additional new features and quality enhancements will be in the final release.
- You will need to license ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 in My Esri. When you are ready to license, visit this blog for more information, as the My Esri licensing workflow has been streamlined: How to license your ArcGIS Enterprise portal at 10.7 prerelease. Note no new license keys are required for ArcGIS Desktop 10.7.
- It is not supported to upgrade from prior versions to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 prerelease. It will also not be supported to upgrade from ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 prerelease to the final version or any other future versions. Install the prerelease on a new system that you plan to decommission after testing.
The prerelease includes an updated interface for managing users and applications in support for new user type licensing in ArcGIS Enterprise. In addition, prerelease includes new functionality for data management such as creating offline map areas, hosted feature layer views using an area of interest, and more. As well, we’ve updated each of our primary software components to include a complete set of our ArcGIS Enterprise documentation. The new installed documentation is equivalent to the product you’ll find on our website and includes the ability to search across all components. The what’s new sections in the installed help include additional information on new features and functionality at 10.7.
