Video: GIS Fuels Riverside County’s Data-to-Action Approach to Social Services
Riverside County, California’s fourth-most populous county, needed a way to connect nearly 2.5 million people with essential services like medical care, housing assistance, and job support. With the GIS-powered Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) initiative, residents can share their information with different departments by submitting an online form. County personnel use location data to link resource teams with people in need—an approach that led to a 90 percent satisfaction rate among residents.
