Esri’s Patty Mims to Join USGIF Board of Directors

Ms. Mims Will Represent Esri at Geospatial Non-Profit and Lead the Company’s Washington DC Office

Redlands, California—Esri, the global leader in location intelligence, today announced that Patty Mims has been appointed to the board of directors of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing and promoting best practices in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) on a national level. USGIF is the only organization of its kind aimed at bringing together the many disciplines involved in the geospatial intelligence sector to exchange ideas, share best practices, and promote the education and importance of a national geospatial intelligence agenda.

Ms. Mims has been a member of USGIF’s strategic planning and program committees since before its charter as a non-profit. She has held many roles supporting USGIF, including chairing the program committee. Under her leadership, Esri supports USGIF at all events and the educational outreach of the foundation via donations of Esri’s ArcGIS software for training and special projects.

“We are very proud that Patty will be representing Esri on USGIF’s board of directors,” said Jeff Peters, director of global business development, Esri. “She will not only bring great value to their organization but will continue to provide valuable insights in the area of geospatial intelligence in her new position at Esri.”

Ms. Mims was appointed Esri’s new Director of Global National Government at its Washington, DC office in May 2018. Esri’s Washington, DC office supports all US federal government customers, including the Department of Defense, the intelligence and public safety communities, federal civilian organizations, and global non-profits. In her new role at Esri, Ms. Mims will oversee all business development across these sectors globally, as well as international support to national government organizations around the world.

Joining Esri in 2002 as an account lead for the defense and intelligence team focused on supporting the Department of Homeland Security, Ms. Mims has held various roles supporting defense and intelligence customers. In 2012, she was appointed Director of Intelligence overseeing all of Esri’s work across the intelligence community.
