Noteworthy AI helps electric utilities evaluate the condition of the distribution grid at-scale. By leveraging fleet vehicle-mounted cameras, edge computing and computer vision to automate data collection and analysis, Noteworthy can significantly increase situational awareness of the distribution grid while reducing operations and maintenance costs.

Noteworthy's product, Inspect, is an end-to-end solution for grid data collection and analysis. Inspect consists of an AI-powered camera system that mounts non-intrusively on fleet vehicles and operates fully autonomously during routine operations with no disruption to the crew. As the vehicles drive, the system automatically geolocates and captures high-resolution imagery of distribution poles. Proprietary machine learning models enable low-cost data analysis in the context of several applications, including: asset inventory/GIS clean up, asset inspections, vegetation management, 3rd party attachment assessments, lighting and more. 

Inspect also comes with cloud software, through which users can view detected assets on a map and drill down into each asset to view more details, including geographic coordinates, imagery and AI model results. Information in Inspect is fully indexed, enabling users to perform natural language searches such as, “show me poles with broken crossarms” or “show me poles with 25 kV transformers” and results are returned in seconds.
