ArcGIS Companion v2.5 has just been released. We have been consistently adding new features and improvements to the app throughout the year based on your feedback. Here are the highlights of this release:
Switch between accounts and organizations
We’ve made it easier for you to switch between different accounts for quick access to your content across the ArcGIS platform. With just the tap of a button, you can now sign-in to ArcGIS Companion with your various accounts, seamlessly switching between your ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Public accounts. Many of you have requested this — some wanting to switch between two accounts in the same organization and others wanting to switch between an ArcGIS Online organization and ArcGIS Enterprise portal.
To use this new feature, you need to link accounts by navigating to the Accounts page and adding your accounts. Every time you sign-in to a different account, the account is added to the Accounts page. To switch between your accounts, just tap a previously added account. You can add as many accounts as you’d like; however, the list of accounts to which you can switch will only include the five most recently used accounts.
To remove an account from the list, tap the Edit button on the Accounts page and remove the account. The example below shows adding an account, the Accounts page with options to switch between a Public account, ArcGIS organizational account, and ArcGIS Enterprise account, and the Edit Account page with options to remove an account from the list.
Manage add-on license for Runtime Analysis extension
Administrators can now manage a member’s add-on licenses for ‘Runtime Analysis’ Runtime extension if the ArcGIS Online organization is appropriately provisioned.
To manage add-on licenses, go to the Organization page, tap the Members tab, and view a member’s profile. Tap the Licenses tab to see assigned add-on licenses as well as licenses included with their user type. Tap the edit button to assign or unassign add-on licenses.
