As the industry leading solution, the Petrel Exploration & Production Software Platform helps asset teams of geophysicists, geologists, and reservoir engineers develop collaborative workflows and integrate operations to increase oil and gas reservoir performance. It uses Esri’s Projection Engine for CRS management, can consume ArcGIS published WMS services or from ArcGIS Online basemaps, and has a plug-in “Data Exchange for ArcGIS” that supports reading/writing Shapefiles, Esri Grids and ArcSDE features to/from Petrel projects. The Studio Knowledge Database is also spatially enabled through integration of Esri’s SDE technology.
