Description:
The Investment Monitor is a digital platform developed by Codex in partnership with the Ministry of Economy in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) and UK Government. This platform aims to disseminate relevant information on investment and sustainability in key sectors of the economy to foster the improvement of planning and regulation and disseminate investment opportunities of public interest. The information gathered in the Monitor provides greater transparency to the government's actions and facilitates the dialogue with civil society, companies, academy, and multilateral organizations actives in the various economic sectors. This data includes historical investment series (aggregate, sector and subsector), a summary of the portfolio of investment projects structured by the government, including sustainability measures, expansion plans, and other important information to make investments in Brazil even more sustainable and attractive to the private sector. The Investment Monitor presents sustainability attributes for infrastructure projects. These attributes are based on the IADB's Sustainable Infrastructure Framework, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement guidelines. The assessment of these attributes is consolidated into a "sustainability report" that addresses sustainability in four dimensions: economic & financial, environmental, social, and institutional. The adoption of this methodology will allow investors and society in general to easily verify the performance of each project in the several sustainability requisites evaluated by the report.
