The Esri Developer Network (EDN) recently added two more ArcGIS Desktop choices to help developers who want to bring geography and mapping capabilities into their applications. In addition to the previously released ArcView Single Use option, you can now add ArcInfo or ArcEditor for an additional cost. As an EDN subscriber, you also get licenses for: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Engine Developer Kit, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcIMS, and ArcWeb Services.
EDN is an annual subscription-based program that offers software developers a cost-effective way to acquire the resources needed to build custom GIS solutions. Subscribers receive a comprehensive bundle of essentially the complete suite of Esri developer software, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Engine Developer Kit, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Image Server, and ArcWeb Services. The EDN program includes access to a comprehensive help system via the Web and access to a collaborative Web site where the Esri developer community discusses and shares their experiences. EDN provides a comprehensive program to provide developers with the tools they need to design custom GIS applications both on the server, desktop and mobile devices that employ ArcGIS technology.
