Focus on Success
2007 Esri Worldwide Business Partner Conference
The annual Esri Worldwide Business Partner Conference, held March 1719, 2006, in Palm Springs, California, had a new goal this yearto give each of the 780 attendees insights, strategies, and tools to work more closely with Esri and build up their businesses.
In the plenary, sessions, showcase, and other events, Esri shared information with business partners on its latest products, services, data, and technological innovations so partners can leverage Esri resources in deploying their solutions. The conference focused on sales, marketing, business development, and product positioning.
The Business Partner Conference and the Esri Developer Summit were both held in the Palm Springs Convention Center, and the conference schedules overlapped. Business partners could attend the first day of the Esri Developer Summit and learn more about the technological aspects of their business. It was also an ideal networking opportunity.
Conference sessions provided real-world strategies and skills to help business partners enhance current operations or successfully implement new plans. A Best Practices in Business track focused on sales and marketing, technical support, training, contracting, project management, and business partner onboarding. The Market Opportunities track included a range of presentations with focus on several industries. Attendees learned about everything from market trends for federal government and sales and marketing to utilities to the basics of how GIS helps businesses and commercial marketing trends. A Products and Technology track revealed key market trends and gave insight into the ArcGIS software platform in order to align marketing, sales, and development efforts with Esri. Presentations covered strategic messaging, competitive differentiators, and live software demonstrations.
