Being held July 11–14, the Esri Survey & Engineering GIS Summit, which takes place in the convention center with the Esri International User Conference (Esri UC), will bring together hundreds of surveyors and engineers wanting to harness the benefits of GIS. Participants will see how geospatial technology provides complete data management and business solutions. From specialized sessions to the popular Hands-on Learning Center, the summit will offer insight into and examples of how to leverage existing equipment and personnel to work in new markets and build new opportunities. "Many of my associates and I are very interested in GIS," says Kevin Gray, PLS, survey manager, Rail Surveyors and Engineers (RSE). "This summit is a way to get educated about GIS and then take that education back to my company and try and fold those imperative ideas into what we are presently doing in our firm."
