|||||
The ArcGIS Defense Solutions products are a key component of command and control, battlefield management, intelligence gathering, mission planning, incident planning and response, search and rescue, and defense and intelligence geospatial analysis. The ArcGIS Defense Solutions products consist of ArcGIS Military Analyst and Military Overlay Editor (MOLE). They have been enhanced at version 9.2 to include feature updates and new functionality. ArcGIS Military Analyst provides display and analysis tools to support defense and intelligence planning. At 9.2, user interaction has been simplified with the addition of a new Options dialog box and expanded coordinate conversion and data display capabilities. Users and system developers can now enhance their custom applications with a new API and suite of geoprocessing tools. MOLE allows users and developers to create, display, and edit military symbology, including location of forces and tactical graphics. MOLE provides support for war fighting symbology in accordance with MIL-STD-2525B. With the release of 9.2, MOLE also supports the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) APP-6A specification. MOLE 9.2 includes many enhancements for performance and stability, along with expanded capabilities. The ArcGIS Defense Solutions 9.2 products require ArcView, ArcEditor, or ArcInfo 9.2 and are available for download at no cost.
