Beijing Capital Co., Ltd, and Esri China (Beijing) Ltd. have agreed to form a strategic relationship to implement an ArcGIS enterprise software solution for water development projects in China.

Beijing Capital is rapidly becoming the largest water development and operations company in Asia. This strategic relationship will have a significant impact on supporting efficient water operations and sustained economic development in the country.

Beijing Capital Co., Ltd, is a listed company in China and its primary business is the investment and management of public infrastructure. The company's focus on the Chinese water market includes the urban water supply and wastewater treatment sectors. At present, Beijing Capital has a daily water treatment capacity of more than 6 million tons and provides services to more than 10 million customers.

In a recent environmental round table in Beijing, hosted by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger during his trade mission to China, Mr. Pan Wen-Tang, CEO of Beijing Capital, said, "We make our return on investment in water projects from the efficient and profitable operation of water services. Information technology support in water operations is critical in achieving the highest efficiency and quality in water services. That's why we have chosen to work with Esri."
