Ongoing Support for ArcView 3.xEsri will continue sales and ongoing support of ArcView 3.x. There are more than 500,000 ArcView users and thousands of applications. ArcView 3.x will maintain current pricing whereas ArcView 8.1 will increase in price by several hundred dollars. Special upgrade pricing for existing ArcView users will be available for the first six months after the 8.1 release is available. Esri's licensing policy will allow users to purchase 3.x technology and upgrade to 8.1 and continue to use both applications on the same computer.
