Recently, Esri announced the formation of two new distributors. Esri Hong Kong Ltd. was renamed Esri China (Hong Kong) Ltd. It is the exclusive distributor for Esri in Hong Kong and Macao. Super Full Technology Co., Ltd., was restructured and renamed Esri China (Beijing) Ltd. It is the exclusive distributor for Esri in the People's Republic of China (except Hong Kong and Macao).

Over the last two decades, China and Esri have developed friendships; exchanged hundreds of scholars and students; developed many GIS projects; and set up thousands of GIS systems and training centers in China for local governments, universities, organizations, and research institutes.

The creation of Esri China (Beijing) and Esri China (Hong Kong) is already leading to a more focused cooperation between Esri and the Chinese GIS community. China has achieved an impressive economic growth these past 20 years and Esri is working to provide advanced GIS technology and services to its Chinese colleagues. Now these two new distributors will strengthen GIS in the entire China region and will help coordinate GIS responses to the huge demands and challenges at this rapidly growing area.
