Introducing ArcGIS Tracking Analyst and ArcIMS Tracking Server |
|||||
ArcGIS Tracking Analyst Extension
The ArcGIS Tracking Analyst extension is a sophisticated visualization and analysis tool for simple or complex applications. The extension adds additional tools and functionality to the ArcMap and ArcCatalog environments within the ArcGIS suite. It can be combined with other ArcGIS extensions to create powerful applications for transportation, emergency response, military, and a host of other areas. The extension allows users to view and analyze existing temporal data, which can be set up with future time windows (for mission planning) or past time windows (for historical data analysis). Core ArcGIS Tracking Analyst Functionality includes
The ArcGIS Tracking Analyst extension for ArcGIS 8.3 extends the range of functionality first released in the ArcView 3.x Tracking Analyst extension. The ArcGIS Tracking Analyst extension will be compatible with existing ArcView Tracking Analyst data sets. For more information on ArcGIS, visit www.esri.com/arcgis or call your Esri regional office, or contact your local reseller. Outside the United States, please contact your local Esri distributor. ArcIMS Tracking Server ExtensionThe ArcIMS Tracking Server extension greatly expands the user's ability to view, analyze, and distribute temporal data by enabling real-time data support to multiple clients. The ArcIMS Tracking Server extension is the real-time server for tracking-based applications. It provides a central data server for all real-time clients including the ArcGIS Tracking Analyst extension and Web clients. The ArcIMS Tracking Server extension logs data directly to ArcSDE, allowing ArcSDE to be your storage mechanism for temporal data. In addition, the ArcIMS Tracking Server extension can broadcast real-time data over the Internet using a Java-based client and embedded Internet push technology. The ArcIMS Tracking Server extension provides a Web service of temporal data to ArcGIS and Web users. For more information on ArcIMS, visit www.esri.com/arcims or call Esri at 1-800-447-9778, call your Esri regional office, or contact your local reseller.
