Our World GIS Education Books Help Educators
Teach Analysis and Spatial Thinking Skills with GIS |
|
Our World GIS Education, the new book series by Esri Press, was created to give educators flexible and comprehensive resources to introduce and extend GIS education into primary, secondary, and postsecondary curriculum with ease while providing students with the tools to build spatial thinking, analysis, and decision-making skills.
Teachers are given the opportunity to combine global and regional geographic themes and issues, inquiry-based learning, and interactive mapping and analysis into the curriculum using modern GIS technology. Additionally, teachers are given the tools and confidence to educate their students about GIS, regardless of their level of experience teaching GIS. The books include either ArcGIS Desktop trial software or ArcExplorerJava Edition for Education, GIS lessons and exercises, GIS data for creating maps, lesson guidelines, tips, and more.
