In order to access these services you must be in possession of a national licence for the data from the OS which covers the relevant datasets

The purpose of OS VectorMap Local Raster data is to support a wide range of customer applications that utilise geographic information. 

These may include:

• Backdrop mapping on your website.
• Develop an interactive web application.
• Display your business location. 

It has been designed for onscreen use, with generalised detail and an appropriate level of content that gives an uncluttered appearance. 

At scales smaller than 1:12,000 OS Open Data layers (Open Map Local and Vector Map District) are displayed to provide a national context to the dataset.

The coverage of the map service is GB. 

The map projection is British National Grid. The service is appropriate for viewing from 1:10,000 down to a scale of approximately 1:2,500
