Overview
Energy Release Component (ERC) refers to a numerical value used in wildfire management to assess potential fire behavior and intensity based on environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, wind, and fuel moisture. Each of the feature layers: Congressional District, County, Zipcode, and Census Tract; show the daily Energy Release Component (ERC) of the four geographical and administrative divisions selected within the state of Florida in 2023. Using spatial visualization, users can examine intricate geographical linkages and patterns with real-time monitoring features that enable immediate solutions to changes in the ERC Index. By offering location-based services, it improves resource optimization, boosts user engagement, and promotes member involvement.
Upon request, we are willing to group share a webmap that contains all four feature layers in order to give a dynamic and adaptable approach of examining geography by enabling users to overlay and interact with several maps at once. This tool allows users to compare various data layers and identify spatial relationships. The webmap offers a fun and informative experience that deepens our understanding of the world's complexities through data-driven analysis and educational discovery.
