Product Overview

What is ArcGIS Marketplace?

ArcGIS Marketplace is a place for you to discover and acquire apps, content, solutions, and professional services from Esri's community of providers. Products listed on ArcGIS Marketplace are built to enhance your organization's use of ArcGIS Online and the ArcGIS platform. Any named user of your ArcGIS Online organizational account can use products from ArcGIS Marketplace.

Who are the ArcGIS Marketplace providers?

Providers are Esri partners, distributors, emerging business partners (startups), and select customers. All Esri partners must meet a set of qualifications to become ArcGIS Marketplace providers. Providers are reviewed annually based on criteria outlined in the ArcGIS Marketplace provider policies.

Does Esri review all the items listed on ArcGIS Marketplace?

Yes. ArcGIS Marketplace providers are approved to offer items that expand the use of the ArcGIS platform and help users meet real-world challenges. Esri and the appropriate Esri distributor staff review all items contributed by authorized providers.

Do I need an account to use ArcGIS Marketplace?

Yes, you need an account before you can sign in to ArcGIS Marketplace. You must either be invited to join an ArcGIS Online organizational account or be added to an organizational account automatically by an administrator. If you are invited, your invitation will contain the account details. If you are added automatically, your administrator will give you the account details. If you encounter issues when signing in, see the Account Troubleshoot page.

Use the following steps to sign in to ArcGIS Marketplace using your organization-specific login:

  1. Start on the ArcGIS Marketplace home page or the ArcGIS website. Click Sign In. You can also access the Sign In page directly from your ArcGIS organizational account's URL. If you choose to have the website remember the organization's URL, the corresponding organization name will appear by default on the sign-in page the next time you sign in.

Note: ArcGIS stores up to three organizations. To add more organizations, go to the Organization-Specific login section and click Enter another organization.

Use the following steps to sign in to ArcGIS Marketplace with an organizational account that was created using social network credentials:

  1. Start on the ArcGIS Marketplace home page or the ArcGIS website. Click Sign In. You can also access the Sign In page directly from your ArcGIS organizational account's URL.
  2. Click GitHub, Facebook, Apple, or Google.
  3. Provide your GitHub, Facebook, Apple, or Google credentials and sign in.

Note: When you sign out of ArcGIS Online, you will still be signed in to your social network. To sign in to ArcGIS Online with different login information, you first need to sign out of your social network account.

Can I switch accounts?

If you use multiple accounts for ArcGIS Online and Esri websites, you can link them so that you can switch between accounts and share your Esri customer information via My Esri, e-Learning, and Esri Community. You can link your organizational (ArcGIS, organization-specific, and social network) accounts as well as your public (ArcGIS and social network) accounts. Your content and privileges are unique to each account. From Esri websites, only Esri access-enabled accounts appear in your list of linked accounts.

To set up and use linked accounts, click your user name at the top of the site and click Switch Accounts, or go to the General tab of your settings page and click Manage linked accounts. Choose one of the following options:

  • To add an account, click Link an Account and sign in with the account you want to link.
  • To switch accounts, choose an account and, if necessary, sign in with the credentials for that account.
  • To unlink an account, click Unlink an Account, then choose the account and click Unlink Account.

Here are some considerations for using linked accounts:

  • Multiple accounts from the same social network or the same enterprise are automatically linked.
  • When switching accounts, you remain signed in to the current account unless you uncheck the Stay signed in to current account check box before switching. You can remain signed in to one public account at a time; if you have multiple organizational accounts for the same organization, you can remain signed in to only one of them.
  • To switch accounts, you must allow pop-ups in your browser.

How do I troubleshoot my account?

If you are having issues with your account, you can try verifying your user name or resetting your password. See the Account Troubleshoot page for more information and solutions to common account problems.
