Join us for an evening with retired public health professor Kim Clark and Redlands Wealth Manager Dave Maupin, two adventurers who have shared extraordinary experiences together. Ten years ago, on Maupin's 70th birthday, they discovered a funny connection while climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro: they snore in unison.
These avid outdoorsmen have tackled numerous challenges together, including multiple ascents of Mt. Whitney and Half Dome. They each completed the 225-mile John Muir Trail, which winds along the crest of the High Sierras. Last September, they embarked on a 500-mile canoe journey down the Mississippi River, starting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and ending in St. Louis, Missouri.
Kim and Dave will recount their 20 nights spent camping on sandbars, navigating over 20 locks and dams, and skillfully dodging massive tow boats and barges. Their incredible stories offer a glimpse into the resilience, camaraderie, and sheer joy of their outdoor adventures.
