Overview


At Esri, our team leads are part of a highly skilled technical team that promotes and sells the adoption of Esri technology in partnership with account managers, senior executives and other Esri staff. We invite you to use your coaching and team-building skills, as well as your experience with geospatial technology, to become an integral part of the Geo Experience Center Solution Engineer team. We’re looking for an individual who inspires and motivates others and who enjoy implementing strategies that will radically improve the challenges businesses face. You’ll lead a team that helps customers take advantage of geo-analytical methods to find unique patterns, trends, and understanding hidden within complex business problems.

Responsibilities


  • Empower your team. Manage the technical activities of your team by working with demonstrations and events. Mentor your team through active coaching, clear direction, and regular feedback. Cultivate an inspirational team to support sales objectives and generate results.
  • Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the Geo Experience Center team. Gain access to technical enterprise-level decision makers and lead meetings and discussions that drive revenue.
  • Be an expert. Be a technical leader of ArcGIS as well as a subject matter expert of various industries. Demonstrate your advanced understanding of sales strategies and initiatives to develop complex solutions for Esri’s most strategic customers.
  • Solve problems. Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to our customers by addressing the critical business challenges they face. Define and deliver complex strategies that align Esri technology with our largest customers’ business needs. Understand an organization’s business structure, associated workflows, third party business systems, and integration points.
  • Tell our story. Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences within Esri’s largest customers. Lead by example through perseverance and initiative.
  • Empower others to present with confidence at various types of engagements from large conferences, trade shows to executive engagements.

Requirements


  • 8+ years of experience with Esri technology using tools, performing spatial analysis, and creating demonstrations
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team
  • Ability to design experiences that bring together many individual stories into a larger holistic vision for the usage of ArcGIS
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure key messages and goals are understood and met through the produced experience
  • Ability to lead, design, story tell, review and supervise all experiences in the Redlands Geo Experience Center
  • Ability to work with various Global Business Development sectors and cross-sectors elevating their storytelling core competencies
  • Advanced experience using current GIS technology and leveraging the full ArcGIS enterprise suite of tools to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use
  • Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context (such as hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing)
  • Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in geography, GIS, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$108,160-$195,520 USD
