Overview


Use your expertise in planning, organizing, and drafting communication to keep internal human resources teams updated on changes to policies, guidelines, and practices. You will manage communication updates, research changing employment laws and regulations, and recommend suggestions pertaining to compliance, benefits, and related areas. Responsibilities


  • Manage communication and updates between the Compliance, Employee Relations and Benefits teams to the HR Business Partner team
  • Conduct research on continually changing employment laws and regulations
  • Advise our HR Business Partner team on updated HR policies, benefits, leave of absence, and compliance guidelines and practices
  • Assist in monitoring employee communication methods to escalate to triage assistance to appropriate HR team members
  • Review and manage a repository for SOPs related to employee relations, benefits and compliance
  • Interpret policy and labor law swiftly and accurately in a manner that results in sound recommendations to clients
  • Escalate and present higher risk issues as appropriate to the leadership
  • Serve as back up Worker’s Comp/First Responder as needed

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in human resources with an emphasis in HR business partner work and/or communications
  • Ability to research, analyze, and, compile and document detailed results, and compose summaries for management and executive review
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to interact and develop strong trusting relationships with employees at all levels in order to gain support and achieve results
  • Knowledge of California state and federal laws including ADA, EEO, FMLA, Title VII, CFRA, and wage and hour laws and benefits and solid understanding of human resources policies and practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of employment law, compliance, labor relations subject matter
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence with strong critical thinking skills
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment and exercise good judgment with excellent follow-through
  • Highly organized with the ability to be agile in reprioritizing tasks/work items as necessary
  • Bachelor’s in human resources or related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$72,800-$114,400 USD
