Overview


As a Marketing Data Specialist, you will play a key role in our marketing initiatives, taking a data-centric approaches to influence Esri’s market position. Leverage your business acumen, technical skills, and a deep understanding of marketing data and performance to contribute to successful marketing campaigns across various mediums.

This team combines elements of analytics, strategic thinking and creativity. You will have the opportunity to shape marketing campaigns that share the power of Esri’s technology with our customers. Through collaborative partnerships, you will influence data strategy, segmentation, and enrichment initiatives through data cleansing, data validation, and guaranteeing the precision and comprehensiveness of our marketing database.

Responsibilities


  • Communicate and Collaborate. Generate basic reports and dashboards offering insights into marketing performance, encompassing metrics such as email performance, and customer engagement. Understand and oversee adherence to data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other data governance policies. Communicate data insights and strategies in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive Results. Utilize foundational customer segments for marketing campaigns. Build targeted lists based on various criteria including firmographics and demographics, for various channels, including email, advertising, web personalization and social. Establish systematic methods for importing and extracting data from our data repositories and business systems.
  • Focus on Customer Success. Work with marketing colleagues to understand campaign requirements and align on goals and objectives, providing insights and recommendations for audience strategy and segmentation.
  • Create an impact. Participate in projects for automation and standardization in support of the Data Stewardship Program. Monitor and enhance the accuracy and quality of marketing data by identifying and rectifying errors, inconsistencies, and duplicates. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the marketing data by executing data quality assurance processes, including data cleansing, and validation.
  • Innovate and Adapt. Identify areas for improvement and gather requirements to implement strategies to optimize existing audience segments or automations, ensuring maximum relevance and engagement for marketing initiatives.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Data science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience building segmentations in a marketing automation platform such as Pardot, Marketo, or similar
  • Experience with SQL queries, Adobe Experience Cloud (AAM, AA), Power BI
  • Intermediate Excel skills including formula, VBA, and Macros
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate findings visually, verbally, and in writing
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$72,800-$114,400 USD
