Overview


As an Accountant on the Accounting Operations team, you will be supporting the financial management of the company’s assets, you will be responsible for managing these assets in the financial systems and the key controls and corporate policies supporting these activities. In addition, this role will assist and support our ERP Developers in the implementation, documentation, and maintenance of system enhancements and internal controls related to the asset modules. This role will involve a variety of monthly accounting and closing responsibilities.

Responsibilities


  • Partner with Procurement and review purchase orders to ensure accurate coding on purchases
  • Enter and maintain asset master record data and perform transfers, donations, and disposals within the fixed asset system
  • Perform monthly close activities, including reports, reconciliations, analysis, and journal entries
  • Support necessary compliance activities related to audit, tax, or other business needs
  • Utilize knowledge of key internal control concepts to create, update, standardize and improve documentation of business processes and internal controls for company assets
  • Partner with IST and Global Operations on Asset related requests

Requirements


  • 2+ years of previous accounting experience
  • High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Accomplished interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
  • Ability to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate or qualification, which meets the California CPA eligibility requirements

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP, specifically the Assets module
  • Experience with Microsoft Access database and SQL Server
  • Experience with foreign currency
  • Masters in Accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate or qualification, which meets the California CPA eligibility requirements
  • Current, or actively working to obtain a CPA license

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$68,224-$94,952 USD
