What’s New in the Briefings App
In September 2023, we introduced the beta version of the briefings app. Since then, we have been continually updating the app to help you improve how you access and share briefings offline. This month, we are excited to announce that the briefings app is now available for Windows computers and tablets in addition to Android and iOS tablets. We invite you to explore our latest enhancements and features across all three platforms.
Bring briefings to your Windows device
We are pleased to announce that the ArcGIS StoryMaps briefings app (beta) is now available in the Microsoft Store for computers and tablets using the Windows operating system! Access the briefings app for your Windows device here.
Smarter sorting
On the gallery page of the briefings app, you can now sort briefings by the date modified or title.
Identify features
You can now see the descriptive information about the imagery and features in web maps or express maps you’ve added to swipe blocks in your briefing. When you select a feature in the map, the pop-up you configured in ArcGIS StoryMaps or Map Viewer will display to give your audience more context.
We’ve also added this functionality to web scenes so your audience can get more information about the scene directly in your briefing when they select a feature.
Better briefings
You’ll also notice improvements to the table of contents in your briefings. The slide titles now wrap instead of truncating, and it’s clearer which slide you are on.

Please note that the minimum system requirements are Android 8.0 (API level 26), iOS 14 version and Windows 10.0.17763.0.
