Esri experts and users will be at TechAdvantage Conference and Expo February 18–20 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to show utilities how easy it is to get started with cloud GIS. TechAdvantage will bring together more than 650 electric cooperative engineering, operations, energy services, and IT professionals.
“Imagine seamless access to GIS resources and capabilities—including tools, imagery, basemaps, and databases—from virtually anywhere,” said Bill Meehan, Esri’s director of utility solutions. “Cloud GIS gives that to you. We are happy to be part of TechAdvantage and for the opportunity to show so many rural electric cooperatives how to take advantage of both GIS and the cloud.”
Esri’s Ken Brelsford and Wheatland Electric’s Mark Dinkel will present “Enhancing GIS Productivity with the Cloud” on February 18 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Brelsford will demonstrate the benefits of cloud GIS solutions including the ability to access and share information at any time from practically any device. Dinkel will discuss his own experience with ArcGIS Online, Esri’s Software as a Service, cloud-based mapping platform.
TechAdvantage attendees can visit Esri at booth #829 to meet the people behind the world’s leading geospatial technology for utilities. This is an opportunity to learn about cloud GIS, as well as the use of Esri’s ArcGIS technology, to meet key utility needs such as mapping and as-builts, asset management and monitoring, outage management, and mobile field crew automation.
