Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of GIS Day

This GIS Day—November 20, 2024—marks the 25th anniversary of the global celebration. The theme, Mapping Minds, Shaping the World: 25 Years of GIS Excellence, underscores the collaborative nature of GIS and highlights the incredible potential of individuals, organizations, and communities uniting to harness spatial data to spark positive change. “The challenges we face—from sustainable urban planning at the local level to protecting ocean health on a global scale—are all geographic in nature,” said Esri president Jack Dangermond. “Seeing how the GIS community is taking a geographic approach to solving these issues, while inspiring a new generation of professionals, is what makes this day truly special.” GIS Day is the perfect time to share your work, host an event, and engage with your community.
