Product Overview

MapStudio for Homeland Security provides emergency management and crisis management centers the ability to create a common operating picture and the ability to access very detailed data for any specific event. Users can access locations by entering a keyword search, U.S. address, or by simply zooming and panning around the map interface.

Once the user finds the area of interest, other dynamic data allows the addition of thematic maps such as weather and terrain, or the examination of extensive demographic data. The map can be attributed with icons representing incidents or other events from a palette of appropriate icons. MapStudio for Homeland Security is an affordable and easy way to access high-resolution geospatial data.

Situational Awareness

GIS functionality and data accessed over the Internet allow homeland security and emergency operations managers to communicate through dynamic, digital maps. The common operational picture depicts the current situation, status, and emergency response requirements through digital maps via a secure Internet portal. Remote access to this information allows key government officials in different locations to operate from the same data or picture. Map data can be printed and exported to a public site for the distribution of critical public emergency management information.
