Data Content—ArcWeb Services gives you access to terabytes of data including 2006/2011 demographic updates, street maps, live weather maps, DOQQs, topographic maps, live traffic information, shaded relief imagery, flood data, and census data. ESRI is continually adding to a lengthy list of data providers that includes Tele Atlas, NAVTEQ, Meteorlogix, Bell mobility, GlobeXplorer, Pixxures, National Geographic, ESRI, and TrafficCast.
 
Developer APIs—ArcWeb Services offers considerable flexibility through its APIs to accommodate developers with a wide variety of needs and skill levels. ArcWeb Services APIs include SOAP for full control, JavaScript for rapid deployment, REST for creating maps using simple URL requests, OpenLS, and a J2ME Mobile Toolkit for rapid application development of wireless applications. click to enlarge
