ArcLogistics is usable out of the box or can be augmented with plug-ins for additional features for solving specific problems. The following plug-ins have been developed by ESRI business partners and can be purchased by contacting the designated party or parties.

Territory Planning

Use this plug-in to create geographic territories for planning purposes and static, fixed route generation. Create territories for thousands of customer addresses in a fast and efficient application. This plug-in uses the street network and several user-defined variables to assist in creating efficient and defined territories.

Route Balancing

Use this plug-in on a daily basis to balance routes by several variables (e.g., total time of routes, revenue, and number of stops).

Street Editing Application and Customization With Plug-Ins

Street Editing Application

The IE_STREET_EDITOR allows for easy editing of street speeds by programmatic manipulation of segments in group(s) by classification, based on Census Feature Class Codes (CFCC) within ArcLogistics. This program adds enhanced functionality, enabling independent assignment of speed limits by geography or multiple groups of street segments by visual selection. It can slow down or speed up any street network within the map set by a percentage factor based on the original default values, and it allows for the user to set a designated speed in mph or kph for a more accurate travel time, yielding real-world route optimization.
