How is the product distributed and licensed?
The ArcLogistics Navigator SDK is currently distributed as a set of developer tools and components including documentation, object model diagrams, sample application, and source code. The product is licensed under the EDN subscription. The software included in the EDN subscription is for development and testing purposes only. EDN licenses do not include any rights for deployment or production use. To obtain product licenses, please contact ESRI.
How do I create custom data which works in the SDK?
Access to the SDK includes data development tools and scripts which support custom building of mapping, find, and routing components. The tools support international datasets including custom schemas and layers.
What functionality is supported by the sample application?
The ESRINavigator sample application illustrates the full capabilities of the SDK. It can be used as an out of the box navigation application.
How large is the application when deployed?
The main application components are approximately 3 MB not including the compiled executable. The ESRINavigator sample application is approximately 650 KB. Additional size requirements depend on the size and nature of the dataset being deployed with the application. Complete navigation data for North America is approximately 1.6 GB.
How is GPS supported?
The API supports a variety of devices based on the NMEA-0183 standard. Blue tooth and COM port based devices are directly accessible. The ESRINavigator sample application illustrates both COM port and blue tooth implementation.
