PLTS for ArcGIS Courses

Standard Courses

Standard courses have a preset number of training days and defined topics. Classes are offered at ESRI learning centers or at your facility.

Modular Courses

Modular courses are condensed versions of standard courses. The topics and the length of modular courses are fixed, however individual modules can be chosen to provide a tailored course covering desired topics. Modular and standard courses can be combined for further customization to meet your training needs.

Modular classes are offered at your facility or as a private class at an ESRI learning center. There is a two-day minimum for training within the U.S. and a four-day minimum for training outside of the U.S.

Available modular courses include

• Editing with PLTS (Two days)
  Learn how to use the PLTS Data Loader as well as how to edit with the PLTS Foundation tools and the PLTS Defense Solution tools.
• Overview of the GIS Data ReViewer (One day)
  Get an introduction to the concepts of performing data quality control (QC) and the need for tracking and documenting anomalies in GIS data. Learn how to create and start a ReViewer session, manage the ReViewer table, and conduct a visual review. You will also become familiar with all of the available Automated Data Checks and visual review tools.
• Overview of Map Production System—Atlas (One day)
  Discover the concepts behind the cartographic production process. Learn about the symbology methods and tools available with the Map Production System—Atlas (MPS-Atlas) extension as well as how to create and manage a map series.
• Overview of Job Tracking for ArcGIS (One day)
  Receive an introduction to the Job Tracking for ArcGIS (JTX) extension and learn about the requirements for JTX at ArcGIS 9.2; the JTX application interface, editing, and tracking transactions; and using the JTX Administrator for configuring JTX.
