Operating System: The OLAP for ArcGIS add-on is built on top of ESRI's desktop technology and uses both the ArcCatalog and ArcMap applications within ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo. ArcCatalog is a convenient way to manage OLAP connections and OLAP table definitions. ArcMap contains an easy-to-use interface for thematically mapping OLAP data.

System requirements are determined by the current product version and platform configuration you are using. Please refer to the ArcGIS Desktop specifications for ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo.

ArcGIS Software: OLAP for ArcGIS 9.2 requires ArcGIS 9.2 Desktop with Service Pack 2 including Microsoft .NET Framework Support. OLAP for ArcGIS 9.1 requires ArcGIS 9.0 Desktop Service Pack 3 or ArcGIS 9.1 Desktop. In addition, the ESRI .NET Support Feature for ArcGIS is required.

Third-Party Software: OLAP for ArcGIS 9.2 requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 for OLAP for ArcGIS 9.1). In addition, OLAP for ArcGIS requires Microsoft Office 2003 including Office 2003 Web Components .NET Programmability Support, OLAP for OLE DB Provider, and Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8.

Supported OLAP Servers: SAP BW, SAS OLAP Server, and Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
