What's New in ArcPad Application Builder

ArcPad Application Builder, the development framework for building custom ArcPad applications for mobile GIS, is easier to use and offers many more customization options at version 7.1.

ArcPad Application Builder 7.1 enhancements include

• AXF Browser—In order to navigate AXF files created with ArcPad Data Manager a browser has been introduced into ArcPad Studio.
• Field Picker—In addition to a control picker, a field picker is now displayed when editing a form. You can use this to drag and drop attributes from your feature layer onto the form.
• Query Forms—Similar to edit and identify forms, you can design query forms for your feature layers.
• Domaincombo Control—This new control dynamically updates depending on definitions in the source geodatabase.
• Start/Stop Editing Button—This tool can now be placed on custom toolbars.
• Read-Only Layers—In the Layer Definitions Properties dialog there is now a read-only checkbox.
