ArcIMS Supports a Wide Range of Clients

ArcIMS allows you to serve mapping capabilities and data to a variety of clients, ranging from wireless devices, such as cellular phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs), to lightweight browser-based clients to a full-featured GIS desktop client.

To help you get started quickly, ArcIMS comes with both HTML and Java client viewers. Also, the ArcIMS Site Starter templates provide task-focused Web applications that you can use "as-is" or customize to suit specific needs and requirements.
