ESRI's Boston regional office is pleased to honor Penobscot Bay Media LLC for the hard work and dedication it exhibited in defining the specifications for the ESRI Building Interior Space Data Model (BISDM). The company believes in the value of BISDM to its work, the facility management community, ESRI's users, and the future of GIS. It conducted valuable research on its own and was actively involved with ESRI staff to drive the development of this standard. As a result of Penobscot Bay Media's initiative, the initial workshop was well poised for success. The key stakeholders were ready to participate, the initial scope of the model was ready for review, and a plan to move forward was initiated. The company is regarded as a model partner for addressing the needs of a larger community.
New Partner of the Year: Patriot Properties

Patriot Properties, a partner since 2006, is honored as new partner of the year because of how much the company has accomplished in its first year of partnership. Patriot Properties, founded in 1985 and located in Lynn, Massachusetts, is the developer of AssessPro, a highly versatile and comprehensive computer-assisted mass appraisal application. With its first GIS-enabled release, AssessPro incorporates ArcGIS Engine to provide a fully integrated GIS viewer that enables users to navigate, update data, and analyze and value properties spatially. A server-based solution will be available soon. During the past year, Patriot Properties has invested a significant amount of resources into ESRI technology. It has proved to be a valuable partner by consistently supporting ESRI's marketing events and working with ESRI sales teams to reach the local government community with GIS-based solutions not only in the Boston region but across the entire United States. We look forward to a strong, productive relationship for many years to come.

Topcon, in conjunction with ESRI, has significantly improved the productivity and quality of work performed in civil engineering and agricultural markets by offering GPS solutions such as TopPad, which combines the power of ArcPad with a special user interface and hardware support specifically designed for Topcon GIS mapping systems.

Trident Systems Inc. (TSI) is a veteran-owned small business that has been providing hardware and software systems to military and commercial clients since 1985. TSI supports customers from the United States military forces and the New York Stock Exchange to the U.S. Marshals Service by harnessing emerging technologies to provide innovative affordable products and services.
TSI specializes in rugged command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) military technology such as unattended ground sensors for tactical mesh networks, force protection provided by electro-optic solutions for day/night situation awareness, and wearable technologies such as the wrist-mounted wearable displays. These various technologies support applications including threat warning, situational tracking, streaming video, and secure messaging. HDR Engineering, Inc., is an employee-owned architectural, engineering, and consulting firm with more than 6,500 professionals in more than 150 locations worldwide. It has been a member of the ESRI Business Partner Program since 1999.
HDR is a long-time user of geographic information system technology to store, analyze, manipulate, and share spatial data. The integration of new ESRI technology allows the company to assist its clients in planning, completing, and managing complex projects and making sound business decisions to lower costs while maintaining high-quality standards. This GIS-savvy engineering team quantifies and automatically updates spatial data, generates predictive models, and provides an efficient and objective mechanism for asking and answering those difficult what-if questions.
HDR brings a GIS staff to the table that can communicate in the client's language, thus providing GIS services for a wide range of public- and/or private-sector projects. New Partner of the Year: 3-GIS LLC

3-GIS LLC joined the ESRI Business Partner Program in mid-2006. The founders have a wealth of experience in GIS, gas and electric utilities, and telecommunications that transferred nicely to their newly formed company.
Soon after becoming a partner, 3-GIS announced the release of Field Express Chameleon (FxC), the first commercial off-the-shelf application built on ArcGIS Server 9.2 Mobile Application Developer Framework (ADF) technology. Its innovative mobile solution allows real-time edits from the field and integrates smoothly with Express Server (XS), its in-house system, providing a scalable GIS processing and data management solution for all field, engineering, and in-house needs including sharing of data across facilities and municipalities, yielding a greater return on investment (ROI).
Although 3-GIS focuses on electric/gas utility and telecom, Field Express Chameleon has opened new opportunities in public works and the homeland security markets. ESRI's Charlotte regional office recognizes 3-GIS LLC as regional New Partner of the Year for 2008 and looks forward to working closely with the company as it becomes an influential player in these new markets.

New Partner of the Year: QCoherent Software LLC
Developer
QCoherent Software LLC provides a product to integrate lidar data with ArcGIS. This application provides the ability to manage the large amounts of information contained within a lidar dataset and to create specific products for display and analysis within ArcGIS. A high number of QCoherent's customers use lidar data, so providing a tool to manage this information within ArcGIS is very important.

Miner & Miner, a Telvent Company, has been a trusted and dedicated business partner for the past 20 years. The company's ArcFM solution is the primary product used by ESRI to support the utility industry. Miner & Miner has consistently remained at the forefront of technology, and during 2007 the company delivered its product on ArcGIS Server. Miner & Miner is the model for how a business partner can provide an industry-leading solution and work in a very consistent and professional manner with ESRI account executives.

Partner of the Year: GeoComm
Developer, OEM, and VAR
GeoComm has been developing its GeoLynx suite of public safety 9-1-1 solutions for more than 12 years by integrating GIS and wireless communications. GeoComm is receiving this award for its commitment to the ESRI platform and providing first-class public safety applications and consulting services. The company was one of the earliest adopters of the ArcObjects 9.2 platform and ArcGIS Engine for its applications. A few years ago, GeoComm made the strategic business decision to select ESRI as its GIS technology provider of choice. Today, it is using the ESRI platform to develop desktop, server, and mobile solutions, and continues to expand its use of ESRI technology to support its clients in new and exciting ways.

Adapx’s development of digital pen and paper technology extends GIS to a wider audience. Adapx's Capturx solution for ArcGIS makes it easy to collect data in the field by using pen and paper to create features and annotations by simply selecting the feature that they want to create from the map’s legend, then drawing its location on the paper map. When they connect the pen to their computer, the user can review their new feature and add it to their geodatabase.

GeoData Services provides multidisciplinary spatial data for federal, state, and local government agencies, industry and private organizations, and individuals. Partner of the Year: L. Robert Kimball
Consultant
L. Robert Kimball has demonstrated its commitment and dedication to the ArcGIS platform consistently since it joined the business partner program. The company keeps its staff up-to-date on latest releases and actively seeks guidance from the local ESRI office. The regional team at Kimball has supported ESRI with key clients including the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, Allegheny County, and the Picatinny Arsenal. In each case, the company sought guidance from ESRI and implemented a solution based on best practices and current platform release. Kimball has also taken a lead role in the enhanced 911 market space and with the ESRI platform across the United States. GeoDecisions continues to grow its regional, national, and international business by developing solutions based on ESRI’s ArcGIS platform. GeoDecisions has two solutions that drive its business: IRRIS and GeoCAMS. IRRIS is used by federal and state agencies in the United States to provide a platform for common operational awareness and has supported GeoDecision’s expansion into international markets. GeoCAMS is a widely used crime-analysis package used primarily by city-based policing agencies in the United States. Both applications are based on the current ArcGIS 9.2 platform. Midland GIS Solutions has been successfully helping clients in the Midwest with parcel management, GPS collection, Internet GIS applications, wind farm site selection, and implementations of ArcGIS Server. It also has built applications on ESRI technology like FASTrack (a soil data automation tool to help process grade classifications) and helped build 911 road centerlines. With this award, ESRI is recognizing six years of strong technical and business development work that has carried the spirit of ESRI to new customers in the local government and agricultural markets.
New Partner of the Year: Wind Environmental Services, LLC

ESRI's St. Louis regional office has recognized Wind Environmental Services, LLC, as its New Partner of the Year. The owner, Garet Couch, helps clients purchase all the hardware and software necessary to build a solid GIS solution. Wind Environmental also has an authorized trainer on staff. The company is known for its field-to-finish training in various industries like water and wastewater. Since joining the ESRI Business Partner Program, Wind Environmental has quickly developed into an excellent partner in the St. Louis region. Wind Environmental recently released the latest version of Wind Image for ArcPad, a product that works with a wi-fi camera and GPS unit to automatically add points in ArcPad showing the location of the photograph.
