GIS Day

Celebrate GIS Day 2006—Join the Challenge!
Every year individuals and organizations around the world celebrate GIS Day, a grassroots event where GIS users educate the public on how the technology is used in their community. This year we are encouraging GIS Day participants to submit their best ideas and materials to the How Do You Celebrate GIS Day? Challenge. The GIS Day Committee will review the submissions and award special prizes for the best lesson plans, presentation ideas, material suggestions, and so forth. We will share the ideas we collect by posting them on the GIS Day Web site. We will begin accepting submissions after GIS Day (November 15), so start planning now!
