Highlights from the ESRI International User Conference

More than 13,500 users attended this year's ESRI International User Conference, 30% of whom were first-time attendees, and 30% of whom were from countries outside the U.S. The weeklong conference began with a Plenary Session led by ESRI president Jack Dangermond and leading development staff who demonstrated GIS advancements in the ESRI family of products. The session also included a keynote presentation by Bob Kerrey, former senator of Nebraska and a great proponent of geographic knowledge. The rest of the week included software updates by senior ESRI product managers, one-on-one consultations with GIS software experts, more than 300 technical sessions, more than 1,000 paper presentations, regional and special interest group meetings, and much more. Additionally, more than 300 exhibitors were alongside the ESRI Showcase, contributing to the largest Exhibit Hall in the history of the conference.
