ESRI Completes Solution Qualification for an Endorsed Business Solution for SAP Public Security
ESRI's ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, and Web map viewer passed technical solution qualification for an SAP-endorsed business solution called Geospatial Enablement for Public Security (GEPS). It provides mapcentric viewing and access to data on force elements from SAP's Defense Forces and Public Security (DFPS) component, enhancing standard SAP functions for the unique needs of defense and public security organizations. GEPS is one of only 22 SAP-endorsed business solutions worldwide and is preintegrated with DFPS to allow defense and public security organizations to see their resources in a map viewer together with specific resource information from SAP. When combined with other customer-provided data on local geography—critical infrastructure, population, and incidents—GEPS provides mapcentric access and transparency to the capability and readiness information of resources maintained within SAP.
