ESRI and Citrix Webcast - How to Accelerate, Extend, and Secure Your ESRI GIS
On March 12, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. (EDT), ESRI and Citrix will host a 60-minute live webcast featuring the CIO of the National Association of Counties (NACo), IT professionals from the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), and ESRI senior enterprise architect Ty Fabling discussing how adding Citrix solutions to existing GIS implementations will give more users faster access. Integeo and SpotOn Deliver Power of Location Intelligence to Cognos Customers
Integeo, ESRI business partner and Australian geospatial business intelligence (BI) pioneer, recently announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with business intelligence consultants SpotOn Systems to provide Cognos customers throughout North America with the ability to create on-demand, interactive, GIS-enabled reports. Under the agreement, SpotOn Systems has integrated Cognos BI solutions with ESRI ArcGIS using Integeo's award-winning Map Intelligence, a rapid application development platform that enables organizations to quickly build custom location intelligent solutions without any programming.

SAP Furthers Innovation for Public Sector with New Community for Public Security
Building on its leadership in providing solutions to support public-sector agencies worldwide, SAP recently launched an industry value network (IVN) for public security. ESRI is among the inaugural participants in the IVN for public security. Much like the IVN itself, ESRI helps organizations meet their critical public security requirements with flexible, open, standards-based technology while providing service-oriented architecture (SOA)-based GIS integration capabilities for the geospatial enablement of a common platform and applications from SAP.

ESRI/SAP Webinar - WaterOne Achieves Integrated Asset Management
On February 20, 2008, ESRI business partner Impress Software hosted this 60-minute webinar that featured a presentation by ESRI/SAP user WaterOne, a quasi-municipal water utility that provides water for approximately 140,000 services in Johnson County, Kansas. View the archived presentation to learn how WaterOne integrated its ESRI GIS and SAP asset and client information using Impress for GIS for improved asset reliability and operations.

An Integrated ESRI/SAP Approach to Enterprise Asset Management for Utilities Webinar
On December 6, 2007, ESRI, Impress Software, and Accenture hosted this live panel discussion on the trends causing utilities to rethink operations and how leading companies are taking a new approach to asset management - an integrated SAP-ESRI approach - to achieve operational excellence while improving the experience of their customers. Intelligence-Led Policing Gives Shelby, North Carolina, a Crime-Fighting Advantage
The Shelby, North Carolina, Police Department has built a GIS-based computer statistics (CompStat) system using ESRI ArcGIS software that is helping to lower crime rates and better share information. Map-based tools help the agency see exactly where crimes have been reported and effectively respond to events in a dynamic fashion.

Virtual Ink for GIS Facilitates Mobile Data Collection
Last year, Freese and Nichols, Inc., a Texas-based engineering firm, integrated the use of virtual ink for GIS into its field operations to achieve significant time and cost savings. Using ESRI business partner Adapx' Capturx for ArcGIS data capture platform, Freese and Nichols seamlessly combined GIS and virtual ink technology, allowing field engineers to digitally update the geodatabase with pen strokes.

ESRI Received "Strong Positive" Rating in Leading Analyst Firm's MarketScope for Public Safety Geographic Information Systems
ESRI received a Strong Positive rating, the highest possible, from Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research on and analysis of the global information technology industry. ESRI received this rating in the report entitled MarketScope for Public Safety Geographic Information Systems, 2H07, by Bradley Williams and Jeff Vining and published October 31, 2007. Gartner considers companies receiving a Strong Positive rating to be "providers of strategic products, services, or solutions" and recommends that existing customers "continue investments" while potential customers "consider the vendor a strong strategic choice."
