Redlands, California—The Wild & Scenic Film Festival traveling tour will come to the Esri Conference Center in Redlands April 22–23, 2011. This is the country’s largest film festival for environmental, nature, and outdoor adventure films.
Redlands Forum, sponsored by Esri and the University of Redlands Town and Gown, hosts the free two-day community event. The Friday evening session starts at 7:00 and features 9 inspiring short documentaries. The Saturday morning children's show, beginning at 10:00, features 11 short films illustrated using various animation techniques.
Participants will see award-winning films about nature, community activism, conservation, energy, climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, and Native American and indigenous cultures. The festival combines stellar filmmaking, beautiful cinematography, and first-rate storytelling to motivate action toward restoring the earth and human communities and creating a positive future for the next generation.
