Esri's 2006 Community Sourcebooks Now Available

 
Updated with Esri's newly released 2006/2011 demographic data, the 2006 Community Sourcebook products—Community Sourcebook of ZIP Code Demographics, 20th Edition; Community Sourcebook of County Demographics, 18th Edition; and Community Sourcebook•America with ArcReader CD-ROM—are now available. The Community Sourcebooks are definitive demographic data reference tools used by companies; corporate, university, and public libraries; and public agencies for quick, easy demographic research and analysis projects.

Containing data of only the highest level of accuracy, the printed books and CD-ROM contain more than 80 updated demographic data variables that include spending potential data and business data for every U.S. ZIP Code or county. Information about the 2005 posthurricane population findings is a significant addition to all of the 2006 Community Sourcebooks.

Printed Community Sourcebooks

Each printed Community Sourcebook contains four pages of demographic data for every U.S. ZIP Code or county arranged in an easy-to-reference format, along with methodology statements and other important reference information.

 

These softcover books include selected data along with 2006/2011 trends at the ZIP Code and/or county, Metropolitan Statistical Area, Designated Market Area (DMA), and state levels. Demographic variables include population, households, families, race, income, and spending potential indexes. Data from the printed Community Sourcebooks can be used as part of marketing analyses to

Sourcebook•America with ArcReader CD-ROM

 
View, pan, zoom, sort, query, and report are some of the functionalities available on the Sourcebook•America with ArcReader CD-ROM. The same detailed demographic data variables found in the printed Community Sourcebooks are included with search, sort, and query software on a single CD-ROM. Esri's ArcReader map display software enables users to produce prepublished maps created from the data. The ArcReader map display software allows users to pan, zoom, identify, and retrieve information about any map feature.

Two versions of the Sourcebook•America with ArcReader CD-ROM are available:

  • Sourcebook•America with ArcReader—This version combines ZIP Code and county information for the entire United States in digital format with query and ArcReader map display software. Data can be exported from Sourcebook•America for use with Esri's ArcGIS Desktop products or any other third-party GIS software.
  • Sourcebook•America with ArcReader, plus Tract and Place Data—Sourcebook•America with ArcReader CD-ROM is enhanced with data at the census tract or census place geography levels for the entire United States and can be used for more refined analyses. The query and ArcReader map display software from the standard version is also included.
