This map series was created to show known drug treatment and prevention centers in the state of Hawaii and identify areas that were underserved. The data employed for this project was culled from Aloha United Way's (AUW) 211 infoline database and cross-referenced with a shorter list of faith-based organizations and programs from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Inclusion in the AUW database is voluntary and must be known to prospective agencies; as such, the database does not provide an exhaustive listing of substance abuse treatment and prevention agencies in the state of Hawaii. |
