Town of CliftonPump and Haul Wastewater Collection System
The Fairfax County, Virginia, wastewater collection system consists of more than 3,200 miles of sewer lines, approximately 92,000 manholes, 65 pumping stations, and other facilities. The collection system serves 85 percent of the 325,000 households and virtually all businesses within the county. This map shows the collection system for one of the two pump and haul systems in the county.

Sweetwater Authority Source of Supply Distribution The use of GIS and water system modeling was instrumental in a project to assess water quality issues, such as nitrification and water age, and determine problem areas and better sampling point locations.

Water Utility Modeling at the Truckee Donner Public Utility District The Truckee Donner Public Utility District services, Truckee, California, used GIS to minimize leaks, improve the integrity of the water system, and efficiently manage fieldwork time; the pipe replacement application quickly and efficiently assigns each pipe segment a replacement designation.
