In addition, many water bodies are extremely sensitive to pollutants and excessive traffic. GIS helps engineers and planners accommodate design goals and environmental constraints more easily. Local models can be developed which provide a glimpse at the potential impact of traffic growth or new construction.
PLTS Nautical Solution is used for high-volume production and maintenance of standard Digital Nautical Chart databases from a variety of sources. Nautical Solution includes desktop production tools to efficiently create and maintain National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency VPF DNC compliant data as well as the Harbor Approach and Coastal chart cartographic product.
