Spatial Data Infrastructure

Many organizations using GIS need to integrate data from multiple sources, organizations, and formats. A spatial data infrastructure (SDI) is a collaborative effort between public, private, and nongovernment organizations.

ESRI has played an active role in building this interoperable technology into its products and actively participated in open standards development. ESRI's Internet technology works with any performance scale and in organizations of any size.

The ability to share data across local, national, and global communities leads to efficient decision making and effective operation.
